Tasty Tuesday
Here is a great alternative to Green Bean Casserole on Thanksgiving! No cream-of-junk soup required! When buying Bacon--look for All Natural, Nitrate/Nitrite Free!! These are delicious and my family requests them at every holiday!
Ingredients:
Green Beans (about 1.5 lbs)
*You will need 6-8 beans per bundle and about 4 bundles per serving*
Bacon (1/2 slice per bundle)
Black Pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cook bacon on stovetop until slightly cooked. You don't want it crisp
Boil green beans for about 3 minutes. Then place in ice water to stop cooking process and keep beans green
Cut eat slice of bacon in half. Wrap each piece of bacon around 6-8 green beans and secure with a toothpick. Sprinkle with pepper
Roast for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crisp and beans are slightly roasted.
